Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? The conventional wisdom about older workers’ attitudes about work is being challenged by a series of new reports that find older workers are more eager to learn on the job and more willing to go “the extra mile” than younger workers.
I agree. With the need to fill positions with mature and skilled workers you cannot ignore the benefit that the mature worker brings.
Our experience in putting these people to work has been extremely positive.
Good story. However age discrimination is rampant and will continue to be. Any company that ignores the 65+ worker who wants work will do so at its peril.
